Browns Expected To Pick Abdul Carter If Cam Ward Goes No. 1

The Cleveland Browns are expected to select Abdul Carter at No. 2 if Cam Ward is taken by the Tennessee Titans at No. 1. Carter had 12 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss in 16 starts last season with Penn State. Carter would likely start immediate and would create a strong defensive line for the Browns with him alongside Myles Garrett.

The Browns do need a quarterback, but could wait until No. 33 to select one instead of opting for Shedeur Sanders at No. 2. Cleveland hasn't had a first round pick since 2021 due to the Deshaun Watson trade.
